The first time I remember picking up a camera was on a family vacation to the Grand Canyon when I was 8. It was a purple and pink film camera with a flip-up viewfinder (which was so awesome, and totally 90’s). The photographs definitely had a purple and pink hue to them too, and while I don’t have that camera anymore, the memory still sticks with me like it was yesterday. Looking back on that moment, I was in awe of what I had captured. I was hooked.I truly believe photography is meant to be printed and enjoyed. Just like when smells and songs take you back to a time, your photographs should do the same – this is the one and only job of a good photograph. I remember the smells of the darkroom at San Jose State University when I was studying art and photography. Over the years since, I’ve developed my specialty in weddings, boudoir, and personal branding and enjoy every moment I’ve been able to capture for my clients.
