The impact will last a lifetime | Connecticut Boudoir Photography

Empowering women through boudoir photography fills my soul. It is about seeing the change in their view of themselves truly recognizing their beauty as a woman.

What was your favorite part of the boudoir experience?

As a woman that doesn't usually like to be the center of attention, my favorite part of the experience helped me realize how being catered to and put on a pedestal was refreshing. Often our lives are on fast forward, we ensure everyone else is happy, and we forget who should really come first. Taking a day to do that, getting pampered, and not only being repeatedly told how beautiful I am but to truly feel it is a situation I need to recreate more often for myself.

What advice would you give another woman looking to book a boudoir session?

The advice I would give if you are hesitating about booking a boudoir session is you have to believe in yourself that you can do this. Whether you're choosing to do it for a partner, future spouse, memories, fashion, etc. at the end of the day, YOU have to want it. It can be one of the most incredible experiences in your life because it is so empowering and can show you how beautiful you truly are.

What was the best part of working with Amber?

The best part about working with Amber was that she instills confidence in more than just your appearance by getting to know you for you. Amber exploits your strengths while being sensitive to your weaknesses, and magically turns what you thought were flaws into beauty. She makes you feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.

Has this experience changed how you feel about yourself, and if so, how? Is your list of "What you love about your body?" longer now?

My loved ones, friends, and fiance see a different version of me than I do. The mirror paints a different picture and blurs my vision as to what I look like. Too often do I speak poorly to myself and question my worth because of my appearance. One of the most uncomfortable questions Amber asked me was, what do I love about my body. I am continuously working on how I feel and what I love about myself. Although it was just one day of pampering and photographing, the impact will last a lifetime. I will see the photographs and be reminded of how I felt that day and push myself to remember I am beautiful.

What would you say to your girlfriends about your experience?

I TOLD my girlfriends; this was the best experience I have ever had. I have never felt more confident or empowered. I told them it was the perfect gift for my future husband, but deep down, it was something that I needed to do for myself too.

Since opening my boudoir studio in West Hartford, CT I have had the honor of photographing hundreds of women of all ages, shapes, sizes and I love every second of it. I can’t wait to continue the journey with you.
